Places to Eat in Lancaster

The list below was compiled in February 2004 and gives a selection of places to eat in Lancaster taken from the local yellow pages telephone directory. There are, however, other places to eat if you would like to search for them. Additionally, many public houses serve English 'pub food' early in the evening and there are Sandwich Bars, Fish and Chip and Chinese / Indian / Italian take away shops as well as the ubiquitous McDonalds and Kentucky Fried houses.

In the table below, the 'Descriptions' have been supplied by the restaurants themselves and the 'Comments' have been supplied by Lancaster University personnel according to their various experiences.

While not all restaurants specify a need to book, it is advisable to book if you intend to turn up in groups of more than four.
