by the Computing Department at Lancaster University. It offers a great
opportunity to meet and mingle with other participants of the AOSD '04 tutorials
and workshops.

Lancaster City Council invites all AOSD '04 participants to an evening reception
in the historic Town Hall, which is located in the center of Lancaster City.
The Mayor of Lancaster will make a short presentation and drinks and nibbles
will be served. It is anticipated this reception will last about 1 hour, after
which participants are free to explore Lancaster and sample a restaurant, café
or pub!

Imperial Hotel, Blackpool
The Imperial Hotel is a traditional English Hotel
and one of Blackpool's most famous. It is a comfortable, impressive venue
situated prominently on North Promenade.
Built in the late 1800s, the beautiful Victorian hotel has recently been
restored to its former glory. One of the Imperial's earliest guests, Charles
Dickens, described the hotel as 'charming'.
Further Details:
17.30: | Depart from Lancaster University campus at 17:30 and travel by coach to the Imperial (45-60 minutes). Transportation is included in the Banquet ticket |
18.30: | Arrive at the Imperial Hotel and enjoy pre-dinner drinks in the grand Washington Room |
19.00: | A 3-course Lancashire Dinner will be served in the Lancastrian with live entertainment |
23.15: | Depart (coaches will drop off in Lancaster University Campus and then Lancaster City Centre). |
