For students the AOSD 2003 conference offers:
  - Student Volunteer Positions: February 10th application deadline
  - Student Research Extravaganza: February 24th registration deadline for posters

Student Research Extravaganza

Students will have the opportunity to hear short presentations from experts in the field about AOSD research directions, and to present their own work as a poster. This event is an excellent opportunity for students to get feedback on their work from leaders in the field, and to mingle with other students. All students are welcome.

This event has three overlapping goals:
      1. Provide a venue for students to vet research ideas and directions with experts in the field
      2. Expose students to possible research directions
      3. Allow students to get to know each other

We will start with some brief presentations from experts in the field about where AOSD is heading, and interesting open problems. Then, we will divide the room into interest areas. Students who have brought a poster will have been assigned a space in the appropriate interest area. We will ask the students to present their poster to experts in the area who will circulate around the interest areas. Interesting discussions can then continue over refreshments.

We intend to have some space available during the conference the following day for some of the posters to be available for viewing.

Any student attending the conference can participate. Students wishing to present a poster must register by Feb. 24. We request students not presenting a poster also register to help us in our planning.

Please register by emailing the Student Research Extravaganza organizers.  Make sure to include the following information:
  - Name
  - Affiliation
  - Areas of interest
  - Will you be presenting poster? If so, title and keywords.
