The panel will discuss and debate why modularity, scalability, and separation of concerns are essential to the success of large-scale business solutions, how to achieve them, and where are the road blocks. Panelists are charged with the task of initiating dialogue with the audience by leading the discussion on the following topics:

  • Modularity and its influence on the complexity of software
  • Aspect-orientation: challenges and untapped benefits
  • Applicability of AOP to refactoring large-scale software
  • Will proper separation of concerns lead to the reduction of IT cost overruns?
  • Modularity and MDA: marriage in heaven or hell?

The panelists are all experts in various aspects of modularity, scalability, and separation of concerns, and with a collective portfolio of research and development. A spectrum of experience from engineering, industrial research, and academic research will populate a diverse set of perspectives. Please come and join the panelist to listen to their experience and challenge with questions from the audience!
