Visa Information

Since 12 December 2008 Switzerland is an associated member state of the Schengen agreement and hence part of the Schengen area. Foreign nationals who wish to enter Switzerland must in any case be in possession of a valid travel document recognized by the Swiss authorities.

The Swiss Federal Office for Migration provides an information sheet for entry to Switzerland on their website.

Letters From Conference Organization

International registrants should be particularly aware and careful about visa requirements, and should plan travel well in advance. Please send your request for a letter in support of a visa application to organization@aosd.net. Use the subject line “Modularity '14 Visa” and include your namemailing address, and embassy fax number. Also make sure to indicate which embassy/consulate you are applying to. Authors of submitted papers/posters/etc. should also include the title. You can click on this link to pre-fill your email accordingly.

Note: visa support letters will be issued only after the payment of the registration fee.

Due to the increasing number of fraudulent visa requests, we will check the applicant’s interest in the conference topic. Requests from people not having an institutional personal page or not appearing on the common publication websites (e.g. DBLP, Google Scholar etc.) will not be considered.
