Important Open Problems for Future Research in AOSD

Thursday 15:45-17:15, room HS I.

Moderator:

Kevin Sullivan, University of Virginia

Panelists:

William G Griswold, University of California, San Diego
Richard P Gabriel, Sun Microsystems Laboratories
Linda Northrop, Software Engineering Institute
Gregor Kiczales, University of British Columbia

Abstract:

Significant research fields draw momentum from past accomplishments and energy from important open research problems. The goal of the AOSD 2006 panel is to help the research community to identify major open and emerging research problems that can energize AOSD researchers in the next five to ten years. The panel will bring together a variety of perspectives from academic and industrial researchers. They will present their ideas and engage conference attendees in a discussion of compelling open challenges in AOSD research.
