Transportation from O'Hare Airport

Using the airport shuttle: Continental Airport Express shuttle vans depart the airport for downtown hotels every 15-20 minutes until 11:30 PM from doors 1E, 2D, & 3E, across from the baggage claims area. The cost is $23 per person, with a round-trip ticket for $42 per person. We recommend allowing at least an hour for travel time.

Using public transportation: The Blue Line “L” train departs O’Hare airport every 10-15 minutes for downtown. The closest station to the hotel is at Lake Street station, at Clark and Lake streets, approximately a 1/2 mile from the hotel. The cost is $1.50 per person, and we recommend allowing 45 minutes for travel time. Taxis will be readily available in the area. If you prefer to walk, follow Lake Street East to Michigan Avenue, then continue North on Michigan Avenue across the Chicago River. The hotel will be the third building on your right-hand side after you cross the bridge.

Using the airport shuttle: Continental Airport Express shuttle vans depart the airport every 15-20 minutes until 10:30 PM for downtown hotels from the main terminal baggage claim area. The cost is $18 per person, with a round-trip ticket for $32 per person. We recommend allowing at least an hour for travel time.

Using public transportation: The Orange Line "L" train departs Midway airport every 10-15 minutes for downtown. The closest station to the hotel is the Lake Street station, at State and Lake streets, approximately 7 blocks from the hotel. The cost is $1.50 per person, and we recommend allowing 45 minutes for travel time. Taxis will be readily available in the area. If you prefer to walk, follow Lake Street East to Michigan Avenue, then continue North on Michigan Avenue across the Chicago River. The hotel will be the third building on your right-hand side after you cross the bridge.

Private Charter for both airports

Below are the approximate costs of a private charter to and from the airports. Please contact the concierge at the InterContinental Hotel if you would like to reserve a limousine for your transportation needs.

Towncar: The charter rate for a sedan is $60 per hour, plus an 18% gratuity fee. This rate is based on a two-hour minimum.

Stretch limousine: The charter rate for a stretch limousine is $80 per hour, plus an 18% gratuity fee. This rate is based on a two-hour minimum.
